FAQ

Referrals can be made by the school or local authority. Parents can also refer and privately fund their young person’s place with us.  

All CRTP staff are fully trained in all aspects of safeguarding, and have read KCSIE and are made aware of any updates 

We have our own internal safeguarding procedures, and all young people’s files are available at any time to an authorised person. Safeguarding remains the ultimate responsibility of the school/council. CRTP will report all incidents to the school and council as they arise.   

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Jonathon Weavers and the Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Annie Gourlay, they are both trained to level 3. The Director has Safeguarding for governors training.  

All our staff have enhanced DBS checks and can be checked via the Update Service. Staff DBS numbers are provided to schools and councils before placement takes place.  

We can offer up to 15 hours per week and will work together with the young person, their parents/carers and their school or local authority to design a timetable that meets their needs.    

CRTP offers a bespoke service. Please contact us for a cost to suit your needs.  

Before placement can begin CRTP will always hold an initial meeting with schools/council, parents and if possible the young person. During the initial meeting a start date can be discussed. 

A smooth transition is the key to a successful reintegration. CRTP can support transitions and welcome staff from other provisions to our venue to build relationships with the young person before reintegrating. CRPT staff can also facilitate attending other provisions before stepping away.  

We can offer 1 or 2 initial outreach interventions for a young person as part of transition into our provision in extreme cases of isolation and anxiety. if required.   

Yes. CRTPs young people come from different schools and different councils.  

Students with an EHCP are welcome to attend.  

We do not offer full-time education as we are not a school. CRTP students can attend for up to 15 hours a week.  

We are not currently an exam centre but are looking to have this in place for the 2025 summer exam series. 

Unfortunately, we do not offer online sessions. 

We can take young people from the age of 12-17. 

No there isn’t. All young people attending our provision will be asked to dress respectfully and in appropriate attire for the day.
